MEMBERS COUNCIL ON LIBRARY SERVICES
The Members Council on Library Services (MCLS) provides input on the suite of services that FLVC offers to the students and staff of Florida's public college and university libraries. It is composed of one presidentially appointed representative from each institution.
A list of current council members, along with an outline of the organization's committee structure, is available here.
The officers of the MCLS include the Chair, the Vice-Chair (Chair Elect), the Past Chair, and the FLVC Library Services Executive Director, who serves as an Ex Officio member. All business of the group are governed by the MCLS Operating Procedures. These guidelines are periodically updated by the council.
The MCLS meets quarterly to discuss library services and conduct council business. Meetings take place over one or two days, and are held at various public colleges and universities. Meetings are attended, in-person or virtually, by appointed representatives from the libraries, administrators, FLVC staff members, and guests.
